Job summary

Charles IT is seeking a knowledgeable Technical Client Advisor to join our team as a trusted partner for assigned clients, aligning business goals with technology strategy and guiding on technical challenges and long-term IT planning.

The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, manage client relationships, and lead strategic IT initiatives while maintaining a focus on security, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT consulting, account management, or technical leadership.
• Strategic IT planning and technology budgeting experience with direct interaction with C-suite executives.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate objectives into technology strategies.
• Industry certifications such as MCSA, VCP, or CCNA preferred.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Microsoft 365, and advanced macOS support is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work ~47 hours/week, including occasional events.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and pass a background check.

• Develop and maintain IT roadmaps, lead strategic business reviews, oversee technology budgets, and support compliance initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic guidance and escalations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to define project scope and technology initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to internal team members while promoting cross-department collaboration.
• Ensure client strategies align with industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of experience in IT consulting, account management, or technical leadership, preferably within a managed service provider (MSP) environment.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic IT planning, technology budgeting, and working directly with C-suite executives and business leaders.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies and solutions.
• Relevant industry certifications such as MCSA, VCP, or CCNA, are preferred.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Microsoft 365, and advanced macOS support is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills, with a strong commitment to follow-through in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work an average of approximately 47 hours per week, including occasional evening client dinners and industry events.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and successfully pass a background check.

Hybrid Work Schedule:

This role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after the successful completion of a 60‑day onboarding period. Hybrid work eligibility is specific to this position and is intended to provide flexibility while maintaining collaboration, team engagement, and client support.
