The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 8+ years of experience (or JD) in insurance defense.

Qualifications

• Experience handling design professional claims under professional liability policies.
• Strong knowledge of case law, statutes, and procedures impacting claims.
• Proactive investigation, risk transfer, claim handling, attorney management, and resolution.

Responsibilities

• Proactively handle professional liability claims involving design professional litigation and disputes to achieve fair payouts.
• Assess and analyze coverage issues and issue appropriate letters/docs.
• Complete timely investigation and set appropriate reserves.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities and indemnity/insured issues.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as warranted.
