TEKsystems is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business users and technology in a hybrid New Albany, OH setting. Job description

We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business users and technology. This person will combine strong business analysis, communication, and requirements gathering skills with enough technical aptitude to troubleshoot application issues and take ownership of business-critical systems.

What You’ll Do

• Partner directly with business users to understand application issues, business needs, and process challenges.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, easy-to-understand language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Gather and document business and functional requirements for application enhancements and improvements.
• Troubleshoot application issues and determine the appropriate path to resolution.
• Use SQL queries, application logs, monitoring/tracing tools, and other diagnostic information to investigate issues and provide technical details to vendors or internal teams.
• Develop functional and technical knowledge of supported applications and take ownership of their ongoing support.
• Determine when issues can be resolved internally versus when vendor involvement is required.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on escalated issues, enhancements, integrations, and application changes.
• Assist with application configuration, testing, minor enhancements, integrations, and production support.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Support SaaS, vendor-managed, and internally administered applications.
• Collaborate across business and technology teams through issue resolution, testing, and implementation.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Application Analyst, or Application Support capacity.
• Strong business-facing communication and requirements gathering skills.
• Ability to translate between technical teams and non-technical business users.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting business applications.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write queries to investigate application or data issues.
• Experience reviewing application logs, error messages, monitoring data, or tracing information as part of troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting SaaS, ERP, enterprise, or vendor-managed applications.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar applications and business processes quickly.
• Experience coordinating with third‑party technology vendors is preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to take ownership of issues through resolution.

Nice to Have

• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Oracle EBS, ServiceNow, ERP systems, or similar business applications.
• Experience with application testing and validation.
• Exposure to integrations, APIs, or data flows between business applications.
• Experience supporting application enhancements or process improvement initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
