TEKsystems in Mason, MI is seeking a Contract to Hire System Administrator to manage enterprise server and storage environments, ensuring system availability and successful implementations.

You will design, deploy, and maintain server hosts, storage systems, virtual machines, and related hardware, while developing security, DR plans, and documentation for the business.

Responsibilities

• Serve in the the area of system administration for complex operating systems, responsible for successful implementation, and system availability.
• Plan, design, test, implement, troubleshoot enterprise server and storage systems
• Design, deploy, and maintain company server hosts, storage systems, virtual machines, and related hardware
• Actively work to maintain and develop expertise on relevant technology products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the Datacenter compute, Storage and Cloud compute industries
• Implement and maintain security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and remedy processes
• Produce written documentation for proposals which describe solutions to business problems, including the equipment recommended, cost of the equipment, and time required to successfully (and fully) implement the solution
• Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans as well as perform DR configuration changes
• Manage servers and their associated operating systems/software
• Perform domain security audits
• Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure server products and services
• Provide training and relevant document for support personnel (which includes Help Desk, computer technicians, and trainers), internal/external customers, and management
• Define and monitor server storage space allotments

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
