Job summary

Fortis Life Sciences seeks a Technical Business Development Representative for Nanomaterials to drive growth across the nanoComposix nanoparticle portfolio and development services. The role emphasizes lateral flow and nanoparticle conjugation with customers in diagnostics.

Ideal candidates have hands-on technical sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate scientific challenges into commercial opportunities, while supporting broader nanomaterials initiatives

Qualifications

• PhD, MS, or BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Materials Science, or related discipline required.
• Hands-on experience in customer-facing technical roles, assay development, or related applications-focused positions in life sciences preferred.
• Experience with nanoparticle bioconjugation, surface functionalization, colloidal stability, or practical nanoparticle applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use technical expertise to generate client interest and identify new business opportunities within the Fortis Nanomaterials portfolio.
• Sell products and services to diagnostic developers, IVD manufacturers, pharma, biotech, and academia.
• Establish relationships with diagnostic developers to incorporate nanoparticles in assays and optimize performance.
• Provide guidance through product evaluation, assay integration, and qualification to convert evaluations into recurring supply.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable opportunities for internal R&D and product development teams.
