Job summary

Arclin is seeking a Technical Assistant to support research, product development, process optimization, and testing activities at the Spruance Plant in Richmond, Virginia. This on-site role partners with scientists, engineers, and technicians to execute experiments, collect data, and contribute to new product development.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced lab and manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Authorized to work in the United States and eligible for export-controlled information.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new software and lab systems.
• Able to wear PPE and lift up to 55 pounds; lab safety is essential.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and respond to call-ins as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory, pilot plant, and semiworks experiments per established protocols.
• Prepare samples, collect data, document results, and communicate findings.
• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain lab and pilot plant equipment.
• Support scientists and engineers in development and evaluation programs.
• Maintain laboratory organization, chemical inventories, and equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovation and process improvements.
