Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Technical & Application Support Scientist for our Laboratory product line. You will provide technical and application support for Weighing and Analytical Instruments, working with customers as well as sales, service, and marketing teams to support moisture analyzers, weight products and LabX Software.

You will handle primary phone support, document quality issues, conduct laboratory experiments, and interact with SAP while maintaining thorough

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering, or 2–3 years related experience or training.
• Significant experience with ERP and/or CRM systems; SAP preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Technical competence and knowledge depending on product line of support; examples include engineering, biology, analytical chemistry, or material science.
• Laboratory experience with automated lab analytical instruments can be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary phone support to end-users, sales personnel, and field service technicians on the instrument product lines.
• Document and communicate quality issues to the appropriate teams, and facilitate resolutions for our customers.
• Perform, document, and report on laboratory experiments in support of end-users, sales personnel, and marketing.
• Interact with SAP software and accurately record necessary contact, product, and sales information.
• Assist with development of marketing and technical materials.
• Assist in managing the laboratory inventory and in maintaining an organized and safe laboratory.
• Assist with product and application demonstrations and training to customers, sales, service, and other lab colleagues.
• Other duties may be assigned.
