Job summary

Mettler Toledo is seeking a field service technician to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair lab instruments at customer sites, with on-site and remote support. You will ensure uptime, accurate documentation, and help grow service and product sales through professional communication.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of mechanical/technical experience, proficiency with PCs and MS Office, and a valid driver's license. Overnight travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 5 years relevant experience.
• 1–3 years mechanical/technical experience using hand tools.
• Proficient with PCs, smartphones, and MS Office; valid driver's license.
• Overnight travel typically 25–40% with overtime 10–15%, up to 25%.
• Works in varied industrial/lab environments with PPE; safety sensitive.
• Position may be drug tested as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair lab instruments per procedures.
• Troubleshoot independently, escalate complex issues, and keep timekeeping records.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams, promote services.
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts, tools, and materials.
• Act as a trusted technical resource for proper use and care of lab equipment.
