Mercor is collaborating with a leading AI lab to engage technical accounting and SEC reporting specialists. You will translate real technical-accounting work into structured, high-quality training data that teaches AI to reason through complex ASC judgments.

The role focuses on ASC 606, 842, 718 and 805, with Big 4 or public-company background, CPA credential, and strong written communication. You will design scenarios, review AI outputs, and provide actionable feedback to the research team.

Qualifications

• Big 4 or public-company technical accounting / SEC reporting background.
• Hands-on ASC exposure (606, 842, 718, 805) with depth.
• CPA credential.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios from your work—technical accounting memos, schedules, SEC filings, footnotes & disclosures, and applying ASC standards to transactions.
• Review and compare AI-generated technical outputs for standards-accurate conclusions and defensible support.
• Provide clear written feedback that improves how AI reasons about technical accounting.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team.
