Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to source and translate complex technical accounting and external reporting work into structured, high‑quality training data for AI reasoning on ASC judgments. You will craft real-world scenarios, from memos to SEC disclosures, and ensure defensible support for standards-based conclusions.

The role focuses on ASC 606, 842, 718, 805 with hands‑on exposure, and requires CPA credentials and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• Requires strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience with ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 805 preferred
• CPA designation is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Translate real technical accounting work into structured training data
• Create memos, schedules, SEC filings, footnotes and disclosures
• Review AI-generated outputs for accuracy and defensible support
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team
