Job summary

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to translate complex technical accounting and SEC reporting work into structured training data that teaches AI to reason through ASC judgments.

You will design realistic scenarios from professional work—technical accounting memos, schedules, SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) and disclosures—and review AI outputs for accuracy, providing clear feedback and collaborating with the research team to improve AI reasoning.

Qualifications

• Big 4 or public-company technical accounting/SEC reporting background.
• Deep ASC exposure (606, 842, 718, 805).
• CPA credential.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios from your work—technical accounting memos, schedules, SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) and disclosures.
• Review and compare AI-generated outputs for standards-accurate conclusions and defensible support.
• Provide clear written feedback that improves AI reasoning on technical accounting.
• Collaborate asynchronously with the research team.
