Job summary

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Manager Technical Accounting to support the ASDS Strategic Business Unit in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on revenue recognition timing, EAC review, and GAAP compliance, with relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.

The position requires a strong background in financial policy, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration with audit teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Experience with SAP and/or APEX and/or similar system.
• Experience with MS Office tools, especially Excel.
• U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Technical Accounting point of contact for the Raytheon ASDS Strategic Business Unit
• Assessment of new awards for revenue recognition, timing of booking, and identification of performance obligations in accordance with company policy and U.S. GAAP
• Review of quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) packages for long-term contracts
• Application of U.S. GAAP and company policies to finance activities
• Participation in technical accounting projects including policy harmonization, data analysis, system testing, and process improvement activities
• Support of external and internal audit activities, including ad-hoc requests, quarterly reviews, and annual audit procedures
• Support of internal controls activities and execution of assigned controls in coordination with the SBU Assistant Controller
• Documentation of accounting judgments and assessments in formal white papers
• Documentation of Offset Project Accounting memoranda
