Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager 2 in McLean, VA. This on-site role requires strong GAAP expertise, US DoD clearance eligibility, and collaboration with finance leadership on complex transactions.

Ideal candidates have CPA familiarity, Big 4 background, and experience with revenue recognition and SOX controls. Occasional travel is required as part of the responsibilities and performance expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline with 7+ years of accounting experience or Master’s with 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• On-site work in McLean, Virginia; travel up to 10%.
• CPA license preferred or required per role.
• Experience in Big 4 or recognized public accounting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call technical accounting guidance.
• Research and analyze application of GAAP to complex transactions.
• Draft white papers with issues, guidance, alternatives and recommendations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and present to senior management.
• Review revenue recognition per ASC606 and EAC.
• Oversee SOX-related controls and policy updates.
