Job summary

PetVet Care Centers in the United States seeks a Technical Accounting Manager to lead complex accounting areas, including debt and equity arrangements, and support quarterly and annual financial reporting. The role serves as a key liaison across Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Treasury and Tax, ensures proper U.S.

GAAP application, and drives consistency in policies and processes. Responsibilities include preparing technical memos, closing activities, audit support, and collaborating with teams on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA or working towards CPA
• 4–6 years of public and/or private accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting theory
• Proficiency in Excel and in preparing technical memos and presentations
• Experience with financial reporting and external audits
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting for complex transactions, including debt and equity arrangements
• Prepare technical accounting memos, journal entries and reconciliations
• Monitor new accounting pronouncements and implement new standards
• Assist with annual financial statements, footnotes and audit support
• Support the annual external audit process
• Assist monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
• Prepare California ESG reports and lead audit review
• Drive process improvements and internal controls
• Support SOX compliance and internal control design
• Review significant contracts for accounting implications
• Perform special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed
