Qualifications

• Experience in Big 4 and/or corporate pharmaceutical industry (7+ years).
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting theory.
• Experience with SOX controls and contract review processes.

Responsibilities

• Leads the accounting for complex transactions and executing critical quarterly and annual close activities, including ASC 842 lease accounting and preparing supporting schedules and memos.
• Partners cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent application of US GAAP and provide SME guidance, including for the India-based finance organization.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical accounting processes, builds and maintains SOX controls, and supports audit requests.
• Oversees the Finance contract review process, coordinating agreement reviews and ensuring accounting conclusions are documented prior to contract execution.
