Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to support new products and strategic transactions. You will evaluate complex patterns, form well-reasoned positions, and shape deals from an accounting perspective.

You’ll work with Product, Legal, Controllership, Tax, and Finance to ensure accounting keeps pace with a fast-evolving business. The role is based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY with in-person attendance requested at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in a technical accounting role.
• Public accounting experience; Big 4 or national firm preferred.
• Experience designing, implementing, and documenting technical accounting policies and procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research accounting literature.
• Ability to interpret complex technical guidance and present positions clearly.
• Crypto company experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical accounting research and conclusions for new products and transactions.
• Partner with Product and Deal teams to understand proposed structures and upfront implications.
• Evaluate frontier areas (e.g., crypto/digital assets) with developing guidance.
• Collaborate with Legal, Tax, Finance, and other teams to ensure consistent disclosures and controls.
• Advise on ASC 606 revenue, ASC 350-60 digital assets, ASC 810 consolidation and ASC 815 Derivatives.
