Robinhood Markets, Inc. is seeking a Risk Specialist for the Crypto Risk team. Based in the US, you will monitor and report on crypto risk across products and platforms, partnering with engineering, product, compliance, crypto operations, and enterprise risk teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operational, enterprise, or technology risk at a regulated financial services or crypto/fintech firm.
• Hands‑on experience facilitating risk assessments (RCSA, tech or product risk), with business, product and engineering owners.
• Experience designing or contributing to business continuity or disaster recovery exercises.
• Experience performing root cause or thematic analysis across incidents and data.
• Deep understanding of risk management methodologies, taxonomies, KRIs and issue management.
• Technical exposure in reading engineering docs and post mortems; software engineering background not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain risks to non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Technical Risk Assessments (TRAs) and product risk assessments for new crypto products and changes.
• Analyze incident data to identify root causes, control weaknesses and systemic themes; lead retrospectives and provide risk insights.
• Mature the operational loss tracking process, including taxonomy, intake, linkage to incidents, and trend reporting.
• Manage the issue lifecycle from identification to remediation and escalation.
• Perform and refresh RCSAs and support Business Impact Analyses.
• Develop and monitor KRIs; prepare risk reporting for governance forums and risk committees.
• Translate technical risks into clear terms for non‑engineering partners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, crypto operations, and enterprise risk teams.
