Job summary

Robinhood Markets, Inc. is hiring a Risk Specialist to support the crypto risk management program across Robinhood Crypto, partnering with leadership to monitor, assess, and report risk across products and platforms.

You will translate technical risk into clear terms for non-engineering stakeholders and work with engineering, compliance, and operations teams to protect customers and the firm. You’ll join a team based in New York, NY and Menlo Park, CA with in-person attendance 3 days/week,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in operational risk, enterprise risk management, or technology risk at a regulated financial services or crypto/fintech firm (US-based ERM preferred).
• Facilitates risk assessments (RCSA, tech/product risk, process risk) with business/product/engineering owners.
• Experience in business continuity or disaster recovery exercises including scenario design and after-action reporting.
• Performs root cause analysis across incidents to identify patterns and systemic issues.
• Understands risk taxonomies, controls design, KRIs and issue management.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate TRAs and product risk assessments for crypto products and changes with engineering/product owners.
• Analyze incident data to identify root causes and systemic themes; support retrospectives and present risk insights to leadership.
• Mature the operational loss tracking process, including taxonomy and trend reporting.
• Manage the issue lifecycle from identification to remediation, escalating when needed.
• Conduct and refresh RCSAs and support Business Impact Analyses.
• Develop KRIs and prepare governance-ready risk reporting for risk committees and boards.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, crypto operations, and enterprise risk for a unified risk view.
