Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Tax Operations professional to lead tax reporting for taxable and retirement accounts, including withholding, cost basis, and crypto transactions. You will partner with Customer Experience and Account Operations to resolve complex tax inquiries and ensure robust, scalable tax systems.

Based in Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY with in-person attendance at least 3 days per week, you will drive cross-functional tax initiatives and support onboarding for tax forms (W-9/W-8BEN).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 5+ years in tax operations.
• Experience with retirement tax reporting, IRS Forms 1099-R and 5498.
• Proficiency in data tools like SQL or Databricks to manage large datasets.
• Ability to drive tax projects to completion in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience in Financial Services, Fintech, or Crypto with tax onboarding knowledge (W-9/W-8BEN).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and account operations to support tax reporting for taxable and retirement accounts.
• Lead tax reporting processes, including withholding, cost basis, and crypto transactions.
• Resolve tax inquiries and withholding discrepancies with cross-functional teams.
• Develop reconciliations between internal systems and vendors and verify IRS data transmissions.
