Job summary

fal - Features & Labels is seeking a Technical Accounting Lead to own the company’s technical accounting agenda and support month-end close with hands-on, high-ownership responsibilities.

You will work across Finance, Legal, Procurement, and external advisors, tackling ASC 606, ASC 340-40, ASC 842, ASC 350-40, ASC 718, and related areas while leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred or required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (tech, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or AI strongly preferred).
• US GAAP knowledge across ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718, ASC 350-40, ASC 805, ASC 810.
• Experience supporting or leading an external audit.
• Strong written communication skills — translate complex accounting to non-technical audiences.
• High agency — set priorities, make decisions independently, drive work to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical accounting agenda and establish a rigorous discipline across the organization.
• Collaborate with Business partners to articulate requirements and operationalize conclusions.
• Assess current systems and identify opportunities to leverage AI in day-to-day work.
• Establish internal controls foundations as you complete technical tasks.
