Job summary

Decagon is hiring a Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager to own complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters as we scale.

You will collaborate across Legal, Sales, Founders Office, Revenue Ops, and Finance to shape deal structures, pricing, and the policy framework necessary for growth and eventual IPO readiness. You will draft memos, own ASC 606/805/718 positions, manage equity accounting and 409A, and guide external auditors with rigorous reporting standards while leveraging AI tools to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in tech/SaaS.
• Deep technical accounting expertise in ASC 606, 805 and 718 with memo drafting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical conclusions for non-finance teams.
• Self-starter; comfortable owning ambiguous high-stakes problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Own technical accounting positions under U.S. GAAP for complex transactions (ASC 606, 805, 718) with audit-ready memos.
• Review non-standard contracts with Legal/Sales/Finance to determine revenue treatment for new products.
• Own equity accounting including 409A and awards valuations; assist with M&A activity.
• Build and maintain technical accounting policies and controls as the company scales.
• Collaborate with auditors/consultants; elevate external reporting readiness for IPO.
