Job summary

fal is seeking a Technical Accounting Lead to own the technical accounting agenda and support month-end close, focusing on compute costs and complex areas such as leases, software capitalization, and various ASC classifications.

You will partner with Legal, Infrastructure, and Strategic Finance, leveraging AI tools to drive efficient close processes and ensure GAAP compliance across contracts and vendor arrangements in a high-growth AI infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• CPA required and 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supporting or leading external audits.
• Strong written communication for cross-functional audiences.
• Experience with US GAAP across ASC 842, 606, 718, 350-40, 805, 810.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical accounting agenda across compute, leases, ASC 842, ASC 606, and related areas.
• Collaborate with Legal, Infrastructure, Strategic Finance, and external advisors to operationalize technical conclusions.
• Build scalable processes and internal controls to support a rapidly growing cost base.
• Provide guidance on revenue contracts, software capitalization, and equity compensation under US GAAP.
