Job summary

fal.ai Inc. is seeking a Technical Accounting Lead to own the technical accounting agenda and support month-end close across compute, leases, software capitalization, and equity.

You will partner with Infrastructure, Legal, Strategic Finance and external advisors while applying the latest US GAAP standards. In this high-ownership role you will draft policy memos, craft scalable internal controls, and help the company navigate complex contracts, restructurings, and capital expenditures as it

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (Big 4 + in-house preferred).
• Broad US GAAP knowledge across ASC 842, 718, 350-40, 606 and related areas.
• Experience supporting or leading an external audit.
• Strong written communication and high autonomy to drive work to completion.

Responsibilities

• Own technical accounting agenda and lead month-end close for compute, leases, and related areas.
• Research and document technical positions, draft policy memos, and support auditors.
• Coordinate with Legal, Infrastructure, and Strategic Finance on new contracts and capitalized software.
• Develop scalable controls and internal processes for a rapidly growing cost base.
• Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, and Finance on non-standard arrangements and GAAP applications.
