Securian Financial Group in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Technical Accounting Business Partner to set and interpret accounting policies, advise on complex transactions, and support regulatory reporting with senior leadership.

You will research new guidance, collaborate with stakeholders on projects, maintain the policy library, and work in a hybrid environment three days in the office to build relationships and influence strategic initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Strong technical accounting skills and experience in researching, interpreting and resolving complex accounting issues.
• CPA (active status or pursuing) and 5+ years of relevant work experience; life insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Independently execute research for new or proposed accounting guidance changes and assess impact on regulatory capital calculations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to research, analyze and determine appropriate accounting treatments for special projects and transactions.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships to provide guidance on evolving business initiatives and accounting matters.
• Prepare technical accounting documentation and coordinate with external auditors and consultants through the review process.
