Securian Financial Group in Saint Paul, MN is seeking an IT Finance Business Partner to join our FP&A team. You will serve as a trusted financial advisor to IT and ECPMO leaders, translating data into insights that drive decisions on expenses, investments and business cases.

You’ll lead planning, budgeting and forecasting for IT and ECPMO, analyze variances and champion technology cost management. This role emphasizes collaboration, analytics and strategic financial leadership across Technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Significant experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and variance analysis.
• Experience supporting Technology/IT financial management, with an understanding of technology costs, investments and total cost of ownership.
• Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to move beyond reporting results to identifying insights, implications and recommended actions.
• Demonstrated ability to build credibility and trusted relationships with senior business leaders and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Partner with IT and ECPMO leaders to inform decisions and act as a strategic finance advisor.
• Lead planning, budgeting and forecasting activities for supported IT and ECPMO areas.
• Analyze actual and forecasted results, identify variances and help leaders address gaps against targets.
• Develop and evaluate business cases, including cost‑benefit analyses, to support investments and priorities.
• Collaborate to improve financial reporting, analytics, dashboards and decision-support tools.
