Job summary

Puffer-Sweiven is seeking a Technical Account Specialist for Final Control Valves in Clute, TX. You will prepare proposals, quotes, and assist Outside Sales while interacting with customers by phone and email to provide technical and commercial support.

Knowledge of valve sizing, pricing, and delivery will be used to drive orders and customer satisfaction. The role requires a BS/BA degree (or equivalent) and 3-5 years in a technical sales environment; valve experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree preferred or combination of applicable education and experience.
• Advanced technical knowledge of petrochemical, refining, power, and industrial product offerings and/or the industries served.
• 3-5 years as an inside sales representative or equivalent in a technical sales environment; valve experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepares proposals or quotes for represented petrochemical, refining, and/or power solutions including valve sizing, selection, delivery, and pricing to facilitate product sales and Salesforce records.
• Assists Outside Sales in achieving goals of assigned accounts.
• Interacts with customers by phone and email, providing technical, commercial, and sales support.
• Develops customer requirements and identifies opportunities to expand the scope of product supply.
• Manages change of customer requirements to quotations and active orders, reducing non-conformance and driving satisfaction.
