Puffer-Sweiven is seeking a Mechanical Services Technician in Houston, TX to assemble and repair valves, test equipment, and document results. You will work from product specs, discuss status with customers when needed, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

This role requires independence for after-hours call-outs and strong mechanical/electrical skills. With 5–8 years of experience in valve-related instrumentation, you will contribute to quality control and field service.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience in valve assembly, repair, testing and calibration.

Mansioni

• Tests and assemble valves following manufacturers’ procedures or customer specs.
• Documents test reports and repairs performed on equipment.
• Communicates with customers about repair/test status as needed.
• Cleans deposits from parts using solvents, brushes or sandblasters.
• Paints valves and fittings using a spray gun.
• Assembles components and aligns parts per instructions.
• Inspects, tests and verifies accuracy of assembled units.
• Records all test results and materials used.
