Job summary

Univar Solutions USA Inc. is seeking a Technical Account Manager to provide technical support to the Personal Care sector, driving sales growth. You will build and maintain long-term customer partnerships, prospect for new business, and collaborate with R&D and supplier teams. Travel across California is expected.

The role requires a chemistry/biology background, customer-facing experience, and proficiency in MS Office. A driver license and ability to travel are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology or similar field.
• Experience in technical roles, product development, laboratory, applications, or technical-commercial in Personal Care, Cosmetic or Skincare is mandatory.
• Experience dealing with customers at multiple levels, internal and external, and supplier partners.
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel in California with the possibility to expand to other states.
• Driver license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Build profitable sales by developing and maintaining long-term customer partnerships.
• Prospect for new business; conduct sales calls and grow territory size.
• Work closely with Research & Development teams
• Manage communication with supplier technical resources
• Assist with new product launches
• Provide feedback on technical aspects, intelligence and marketplace
• Assist customer with application/formulation support
• Provide training and presentations
• Provide product and industry training to Sales and Sales support teams as required
• Participate in industry meetings/teleconferences
• Assist with Supplier/Customer contract negotiations
• Assist in tradeshows
