Relay is seeking a Technical Account Manager to bridge Hardware, Software, Supply Chain, and Marketing, coordinating carrier relationships and certifications to launch products efficiently. You will drive certification plans, partner with labs, and lead cross-functional efforts in a fast-paced environment from our Raleigh HQ.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical ownership, strong communication, and travel to testing locations as needed to keep programs on schedule.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a customer-facing technical role owning technical client relationships.
• Experience certifying cellular devices with major US network operators.
• Proven track record of certifying cellular devices with one or more major US network operators.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across Hardware, Software, Supply Chain, and Marketing, plus labs.
• Excellent communication, able to switch between technical detail and executive business narrative.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Raleigh HQ or testing labs.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Launch Product Management: define cellular products and accessories.
• Contribute to Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for hardware programs.
• Define regulatory, industry, and network certification plans with testing.
• Device Certification Management: collaborate with North American/global operators.
• Ensure third-party certification and testing before launch; publish docs as required.
• Partner with development to manage schedules and prototype/user trial builds.
• Lead FCC, PTCRB, and carrier testing to achieve Technical Acceptance.
• Cross-Functional Influence: align with Supply Chain and Marketing on launch readiness.
• Post-Launch Maintenance: resolve hardware/software quality issues; manage changes.
