Job summary

Amperesand, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Technical Account Manager for Data Center Power Systems to own critical customer relationships and translate field needs into robust power solutions.

You will lead technical reviews, author diagrams, and manage end-to-end deliverables with support from engineering, QA, and service teams, traveling up to 50% to customer sites and manufacturing as the business scales.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent demonstrated technical depth in power systems.
• 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role with direct customer ownership.
• Strong knowledge of data center electrical design: MV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, BESS, gensets, redundancy.
• Ability to author SLDs using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Visio, draw.io.
• Experience with protection coordination, fault analysis, grounding and utility interconnection.
• Proven track record delivering customer-grade technical docs under revision control.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with key accounts and run recurring technical reviews.
• Author and maintain single line diagrams for MV paths and topology configurations.
• Prepare and deliver submittal packages, diagrams, sequences of operation, and FAT plans.
• Manage deliverables end-to-end and drive closure across cross-functional teams.
• Lead customer communications, RFIs, action logs, and status reporting.
• Support FAT, commissioning, and energization activities.
• Translate field needs into product requirements and influence future designs.
• Support new business through technical due diligence and evaluation conversations.
