Technical Account Manager - Ansible Automation Platform

About The Job

Red Hat's Technical Services team is seeking an enterprise engineer with a background in automation technologies to join remotely in the U.S. Eastern or Central Time Zone. You will partner with key enterprise customers to provide architectural guidance and implementation advice for the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Your role involves acting as a liaison between the customer, Red Hat, and internal teams, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure successful deployment and optimization of solutions. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting enterprise customers with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform implementations.
  2. Serving as a primary advocate for customers within Red Hat.
  3. Providing updates on product roadmaps, assisting with upgrades and implementations.
  4. Staying current with new technologies such as container orchestration, microservices, and automation environments.
  5. Offering expertise on Ansible Automation Platform and its deployment.
  6. Conducting technical reviews to identify issues and share knowledge.
  7. Understanding customer infrastructure, hardware, and product usage.
  8. Responding to support requests through various channels.
  9. Providing strategic advice on Red Hat products and solutions.
  10. Managing customer cases and maintaining documentation.
  11. Collaborating with engineering, R&D, product management, and support teams.
  12. Creating technical documentation for issues and knowledge sharing.
  13. Growing customer relationships through attentive support.
  14. Visiting customer sites as needed to ensure excellent service.

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in technical support, software engineering, or related fields.
  • Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and similar tools (Chef, Puppet, SaltStack).
  • Experience with configuration management, deployment, and orchestration technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple issues and projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (preferred).
  • Residency within the U.S. Central or Eastern Time Zone.
  • Background in software engineering, Linux system administration (preferably RHEL).
  • Experience with DevOps, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud deployment, CI/CD, and source control tools is a plus.

The salary range is $94,550 - $151,170, based on qualifications. Red Hat offers comprehensive benefits and supports a diverse, inclusive work environment.
