About The Job

Red Hat's Technical Services team is seeking an enterprise engineer with a background in automation technologies to work remotely in the U.S. Pacific or Mountain Time Zone. You will collaborate with enterprise customers, providing technical and architectural guidance for the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Your role involves acting as a liaison among customers, Red Hat, and internal teams to facilitate communication, coordination, and collaboration, ensuring successful implementation and optimization of solutions. This position requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to bridge gaps, align objectives, and drive positive outcomes.

What You Will Do

• Support enterprise customers in implementing Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform solutions
• Serve as the primary advocate for customers within Red Hat, fostering cross-team collaboration
• Update customers on Red Hat portfolio roadmaps and assist with product upgrades and implementations
• Stay current with emerging technologies such as container orchestration, microservices, and automation environments
• Provide expertise on Ansible Automation Platform's implementation and use
• Conduct technical reviews to identify and prevent issues, sharing knowledge across teams
• Understand customer infrastructures, environments, hardware, and product usage
• Respond to support requests via online, phone, video, chat, etc.
• Offer strategic advice on current and future Red Hat products
• Manage customer cases with clear documentation
• Collaborate with engineering, R&D, product management, and support teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Build and maintain customer relationships through attentive support
• Visit customer sites as needed to ensure high-quality service

What You Will Bring

• Experience in technical support, software engineering, or quality assurance
• Deep knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and similar tools (Chef, Puppet, SaltStack)
• Experience with configuration management, deployment, and orchestration technologies
• Ability to manage and grow customer relationships proactively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to convey complex technical information clearly
• Capability to handle multiple issues and projects concurrently
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Residence in the U.S. Central or Eastern Time Zone
• Background in software engineering; experience with RPM-based Linux (preferred)
• Linux system administration experience, especially with RHEL (preferred)
• Experience in DevOps environments (preferred)
• Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Podman, Kubernetes (preferred)
• Experience deploying applications in cloud and containerized environments (plus)
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts (preferred)
• Familiarity with source control tools such as Git or SVN (plus)

The salary range is $94,550 - $151,170, based on qualifications. Red Hat offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and other perks.
