Job summary

Tech Impact is seeking a Workforce Instructor to deliver daily classroom instruction, provide technical support, and support students toward certifications. The role includes managing a classroom, supporting admissions and data entry, and maintaining LMS and IT systems.

Location is Philadelphia, PA with local travel, and the position is full-time with full benefits. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in the field or 1 year of instructional experience, strong MS Office/CRM/LMS skills, and readiness

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Flexible schedule; some evenings/weekends may be needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM and LMS experience preferred.
• Experience with diverse communities is preferred.
• Within 3 months, Cisco Certified Instructor training and CompTIA A+ certification expected if not already obtained.
• Minimum 3 years in subject area within last 7 years or 1 year of technical instruction experience.
• Technical training or instructional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive classroom environment and foster learning.
• Adjust instructional strategies to meet program goals.
• Ensure classroom tech (networking, internet) is functional and supports learning.
• Incorporate real-world scenarios outside core curriculum.
• Deliver Cisco IT Essentials Curriculum, CompTIA A+ prep, and AI curriculum.
• Provide extra help to students struggling with curriculum.
• Monitor LMS curriculum and provide feedback to Senior ITWorks instructor.
• Contribute to program outcome goals.
