Job summary

IDEMIA is seeking an entrepreneurial and self-motivated Legal Counsel to support the IST Division in North America with transactional and generalist duties across contracts, litigation, corporate governance, employment law, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a U.S. law school, admission to practice, and experience in tech or fintech transactions, with strong project management and collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Admitted to practice before at least one state's bar.
• Experience in tech/fintech or ICT sector preferred.
• Background in multinational corporate or top-tier U.S. law firm.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and process commercial agreements and related documents.
• Provide guidance on contract performance and remedial actions.
• Advise leadership on litigation risks and regulatory compliance.
• Support corporate governance, insurance, and board/meeting formalities.
• Develop and implement legal processes; train internal teams.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance governance.
• Collaborate with IST Legal team and regional stakeholders.
