Job summary

Tavily by Nebius is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to own and negotiate commercial agreements for its global business, focusing on technology transactions and privacy.

You will partner with Go-to-Market teams, shape templates and processes, and help ensure compliance with privacy laws including GDPR and US state rules.

This role offers hands-on deal ownership, exposure to AI and cross-border transactions, and the chance to scale legal workflows as Tavily grows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant legal experience at a law firm or technology company.
• Experience independently drafting and negotiating technology and commercial agreements, including complex enterprise contracts.
• Practical experience with DPAs and privacy requirements such as GDPR and California and other U.S. state privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial negotiations. Draft, review, and negotiate customer, SaaS, reseller, service level, vendor, and partnership agreements.
• Partner with Go-to-Market teams. Advise on deals balancing business goals and legal risk.
• Support privacy and data protection. Negotiate DPAs and strengthen Tavily’s privacy program across markets.
• Manage complex transactions. Coordinate cross-border negotiations with multiple stakeholders.
• Make legal guidance practical. Translate commercial, privacy, and IP considerations into actionable recommendations.
• Build for scale. Improve contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and workflows to increase efficiency.
