Job summary

King County Library System is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to join the Human Resources Department. You will design, draft, and evaluate instructional content for internal professional development and collaborate with HR partners to translate training needs into learning experiences.

You will develop multimedia training, teach live courses, and manage LMS activities, ensuring quality and effectiveness across diverse learning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, computer science, graphic design, or adult education.
• Experience implementing e-learning development, hybrid courses, needs analysis, lesson plans, and facilitation.
• Proficiency with Articulate Storyline and other training software.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple training projects at different stages of development and delivery.
• Develop e-learning and instructor-led curriculum.
• Teach live courses and create multimedia content including video and audio.
• Provide feedback, testing, QA, and support for training activities and deliverables.
• Coordinate with HR partners and subject matter experts to translate training needs into learning solutions.
• Manage courses in the LMS, enrollment, and reporting on attendance and completion.
