Job summary

Bot-Auto in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks a proactive Technical Recruiter to support engineering and technical teams in a fast-paced startup. You will identify, engage, and hire strong technical talent, coordinating interviews and delivering a thoughtful candidate experience.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of recruiting experience, with preference for deep-tech hiring (robotics, AI/ML, autonomous driving).

Qualifications

• 1–3 years recruiting, sourcing, or talent acquisition experience.
• Experience recruiting for technical positions within a technology company, startup, or recruiting agency.
• General understanding of technical roles such as software engineering, ML/AI, robotics, or related areas.
• Strong sourcing and candidate-engagement skills across multiple platforms and channels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple candidates, positions, and stakeholders.
• Able to adapt to a fast-moving startup with evolving hiring needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruiting lifecycle for technical roles, including sourcing, outreach, screening, interview coordination, offer support, and closing.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to understand role requirements and priorities.
• Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, networks, referrals, events, universities, and other channels.
• Build and maintain pipelines for software engineering, ML, robotics, autonomous driving, and other technical areas.
• Conduct initial conversations to assess experience, motivation, and fit, including location goals and compensation expectations.
• Coordinate interview processes and maintain timely communication with candidates and interview teams.
• Provide candidates with a professional, transparent, and engaging experience throughout the process.
• Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate candidate data in the ATS.
• Support recruiting events, university outreach, talent mapping, and employer branding as needed.
• Help improve processes, templates, reporting, and operations as the company grows.
• Manage multiple open positions with attention to detail and follow-through.
