Job summary

Tanium is seeking an enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer (TSE) Intern to support our enterprise customers, including the DoD and Fortune 100. You will work under 1:1 mentorship to resolve technical issues, learn Tanium’s platform, and shadow senior engineers while contributing to real-world projects.

This internship follows a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence at Addison, TX at least three days per week.

Qualifications

Undergraduate student currently enrolled in a college or university.
GPA of 3.5 or above.
Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
Availability to work full-time from June 7, 2027 – August 13, 2027.
Eligible graduation dates: December 2027 or Spring 2028.
Some experience with endpoints, networking or operating systems/servers.
IT Helpdesk experience preferred.
Other experience working with customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

Work with a 1:1 mentor TSE on real-world customer problems in security, operations, asset management, and risk management.
Contribute to triaging technical issues, engaging with customers, and conducting root cause analysis on live Tanium deployments.
Support security, operations, and automation-related tasks and upgrades of Tanium platforms/modules.
Partner with other TSEs to assist with cases and share insights.
Shape and deliver special projects with peers that impact Tanium.
Learn how the technology works and how to support and integrate it within customer environments.
Document best practices, track activity, root causes, and prepare accurate reports.
Rigorously test Tanium in a home lab environment.
