Nordstrom, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Director of Strategic Sourcing - Technology to lead a cross-functional team across Software, Hardware, Telecom, and AI/Infrastructure spend.

This role partners with Technology executives to shape category strategy, accelerate deals, and deliver measurable value through trusted partnerships. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years in global strategic sourcing, 10+ years of leadership, and a proven track record influencing senior tech stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of global strategic sourcing/procurement experience
• 10+ years of team leadership and/or people management experience
• Familiarity with how AI and agentic sourcing tools are changing category strategy
• Knowledge of critical procurement legal requirements and contracting best practices
• Exceptional ability to influence at a Senior Executive level and negotiate with technology leaders

Responsibilities

• Design and develop your organization and build a sourcing team with engagement and accountability
• Own the pace by driving speed and reducing cycle times and approvals
• Partner early with Technology leaders to loop sourcing into roadmap and budget planning
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing category plans for Technology spend
• Manage supplier performance and relationships with strategic tech suppliers
• Bring market and AI intelligence to surface risk, savings, and innovation
• Create a forward-looking pipeline of upcoming technology deals, renewals, and negotiations
• Lead high-stakes negotiations and complex deals across multiple tech categories
