Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Director of Strategic Sourcing - Technology in Seattle. Lead a sourcing team across software, hardware, telecom, and AI infrastructure, partnering with Technology executives to move sourcing earlier in the process and deliver measurable value.

Role requires deep experience in global tech sourcing, 10+ years in leadership, and ability to influence senior stakeholders. Hybrid schedule in downtown Seattle, four days in office, with strong market intelligence and risk

Qualifications

• 12+ years of global strategic sourcing/procurement experience in tech/retail.
• 10+ years of team leadership and people management.
• Proven ability to influence senior technology stakeholders and deliver outcomes.
• Knowledge of market analysis, supplier risk, and multi-year negotiations.
• Familiarity with AI/agentic sourcing tools and associated strategies.
• Understanding of procurement laws and contracting best practices.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a sourcing team for Technology spend across software, hardware, telecom, and AI infra.
• Set vision for fast, end-to-end sourcing with a frictionless partner experience.
• Develop and execute category strategies and supplier risk management.
• Drive speed in deals, reduce cycle times, and manage complex negotiations.
• Build trusted partnerships with Technology executives and stakeholders.
• Provide market intelligence on AI-enabled sourcing and supplier dynamics.
