Job summary

Verizon is hiring a Retail Sales Associate to join our on-site retail team in California. You will drive sales through deep product knowledge, strong customer service, and relationship-building with customers who visit our store.

You’ll learn needs, tailor solutions, and close sales while undergoing ongoing training to advance your skills. The role includes evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts, with base pay ranging from $16.00–$21.00 per hour plus commissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known 4 weeks in advance).
• Open to pick up additional shifts to earn more income, typically during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by using passion for technology and customer service to expand Verizon network.
• Learn and uncover customers' needs by connecting and asking questions.
• Position product insights and recommendations to provide a complete sales solution.
• Close sales with strong communication to fulfill customer needs.
• Develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skilling in merchandising and inventory.
• Engage with the community and current customers through outreach and events.
