IBM is recruiting an Entry-Level Technical Sales Engineer intern to work with clients and IBM experts in designing, demonstrating, and delivering solutions across AI, hybrid cloud, automation, data, and security. You will engage in discovery, build proof-of-concept demonstrations, and translate complex concepts into business value.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student.
• Degree to be completed by start date in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, software development, AI, automation, data, or cybersecurity.
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to prototype, build, or troubleshoot applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for technology and client success.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client discovery sessions to understand objectives, requirements, success criteria, environments, and opportunities to apply IBM technology.
• Design and validate technical solution approaches addressing customer challenges and business goals.
• Build and deliver demos, proofs of concept, workshops, and technical presentations showing value and integration needs.
• Translate technical concepts into business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support customer adoption, expansion and success by defining use cases and removing barriers.
• Collaborate with sales, technical specialists, customer success, and partners to progress opportunities.
• Contribute ideas and best practices to accelerate client readiness and solution adoption.
• Present findings and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.
