Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Commercial Counsel to craft and negotiate routine and complex agreements, including SaaS, licensing, and professional services. You'll drive risk management, advise business partners, and ensure compliance with policies and laws.

The role requires a JD, bar admission in at least one state, and 2+ years of corporate transactional experience in technology matters.

Qualifications

• JD required for this role.
• Bar admission in at least one state.
• 2+ years in corporate transactional or commercial transactional work, preferably tech.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, edit, finalize and negotiate routine transactional agreements: sales, SaaS, licensing, and SOWs.
• Manage contract documentation and approval flows to align with internal processes.
• Assist with contract disputes, provide guidance and draft settlements.
• Research and respond to general legal inquiries related to contracts, regulatory issues, and new business initiatives.
• Provide counsel to advance business objectives while ensuring compliance and managing risk.
• Maintain and update contract templates.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of current legal trends and best practices.
