Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Vice President Technology Development Risk Lead to provide independent oversight of controls over software delivery, including AI-assisted coding, in our Tech and Cyber Operational Risk Management team.

You will use data-first analysis, SQL and Python to surface risks, challenge first-line assertions, and report to senior management and regulators. This role blends technical credibility with risk leadership and coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/InfoSec or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years in technology risk, technology audit, software engineering, or application security within financial services.
• Hands-on Python development experience.
• Proficient in SQL data querying and analysis.
• Experience with software delivery toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent risk assessments of controls governing software delivery using data-first analytics.
• Challenge the first line on AI coding controls, including author attribution and audit trails.
• Evaluate entitlements and credentials for development tooling and autonomous agents.
• Assess observability and telemetry to detect data loss, misuse, or unexpected agent behavior.
• Use Python and SQL to analyze large engineering datasets and build dashboards for senior management.
• Define and test statistical hypotheses to identify thematic risks in software delivery.
• Develop and maintain the annual oversight plan for this domain and report independent views to leadership and regulators.
• Assess prioritization and remediation of control findings and monitor closure.
• Coach and develop junior data scientists and risk professionals.
