Job summary

EY is offering a Summer 2027 Technology Risk internship as part of the 360 Careers program in the United States. You will gain hands-on experience in IT risk, controls, and audit within EY’s Assurance practice, working with client teams to strengthen information systems and processes.

Participants will explore career paths across G&I, FSO, or broader industries, with structured learning, mentoring, and real client exposure.

Qualifications

• Have or be working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP or CA certification.
• Minimum GPA 3.0, preference for 3.2+.
• Interest in a hybrid model with 40-60% in person work.
• Interest in IT audit from coursework or internship.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Driver's license recommended; reliable transportation to EY offices and client sites.
• U.S. citizenship and able to obtain secret clearance for Government & Infrastructure work.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document clients' business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through reviews of client evidence and interviews.
• Plan the engagement and develop work program timelines with the engagement team.
• Monitor progress and inform stakeholders about progress and outcomes.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Assist with SOC reports, third-party risk assessments, IT risk and control framework design and ITGC assessments for SOX/audit.
