Job summary

Optro is seeking a Product and Partner Counsel to support product and partner teams. You will partner with Senior Counsel to guide commercial terms, privacy, and regulatory compliance for cutting-edge technologies.

The role emphasizes advising on AI, cloud services, and data protection while drafting and negotiating partner agreements. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience at a national law firm or in-house legal department focusing on channel and advisory partners and/or technology transactions.
• Experience advising on AI applications, cloud services, data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
• In-house SaaS or technology company experience required.

Responsibilities

• Advise product management, development, engineering, support and marketing on commercial terms and regulatory issues.
• Draft and negotiate partner agreements including resale, referral, distribution, and cloud marketplace deals.
• Provide guidance on privacy, data protection and responsible AI use across products.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear legal guidance for diverse partners.
• Contribute to commercial strategy for new products, partner programs and routes to market.
