Job summary

Multimedia Solutions in New York, NY, seeks a Director of Technology to lead cross‑functional technical initiatives across development, CMS architecture, DevOps, and delivery operations. This role blends technical leadership with hands‑on mentorship and solution strategy to build high‑performing teams.

You will drive architectural decisions, oversee CMS and cloud hosting (Azure), and guide designers, developers, and project managers to deliver scalable, secure digital platforms for Fortune 2000

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on web development with modern tech stacks and CMS platforms.
• Experience leading teams across the full SDLC from discovery to post-launch support.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure App Services and Azure SQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices such as Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of SEO, ADA compliance, page speed optimization, and security protocols (SOC2, ISO).
• Strong documentation, QA, and process‑driven mindset.
• Exceptional communication skills, comfortable talking with engineers and executives.
• Experience managing technical transitions, CMS migrations, and high-stakes production rollouts.
• Experience with AI-powered platforms, data analytics workflows, or personalization frameworks is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions, platform planning, and technology strategy across multiple client solutions.
• Oversee the execution of CMS, DevOps, security, and web application projects with hands-on involvement.
• Guide project managers and developers to deliver clean, scalable, and secure code.
• Ensure hosting infrastructure is optimized, monitored, and well-documented (Azure, WPEngine).
• Develop and maintain operational processes (QA checklists, deployment workflows, ticket hygiene).
• Act as technical liaison with clients, ensuring requirements align with platform and development realities.
• Manage internal team mentoring, code reviews, and skill development.
• Handle risk planning, technical escalation, and delivery oversight for high-profile projects.
• Coordinate with senior leadership on resourcing, hiring, and capacity planning.
