Job summary

Google Maps Platform in Seattle seeks a Share Tech Lead Manager to guide multiple engineering teams, align product strategy with company goals, and ensure scalable, high-quality software across maps services.

You will set team priorities, define roadmaps, and mentor engineers while managing a group through ambiguous, large-scale problems. The Geo team shapes mapping products used by billions, collaborating across sites to drive architecture and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years experience with front-end and UI development.
• 3 years experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years experience in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate team priorities that support broader goals.
• Set clear expectations with individuals based on level and role.
• Develop the mid-term technical goal and roadmap within the scope of your team(s).
• Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
• Design, guide and vet system designs and write code to solve ambiguous problems.
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
