Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor engineering teams across multiple sites, guiding both technical execution and people development. You will set priorities, shape roadmaps, and ensure high-quality, scalable systems across maps, AI, and related domains.

You will collaborate with geospatial teams, information retrieval and distributed computing groups, translating product strategy into concrete plans while fostering collaboration among distributed engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 3 years leading teams, including at least 2 years people management.
• 3 years of full-stack development across back-end and front-end.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate team priorities aligned to corporate goals.
• Mentor individuals, set expectations, provide feedback and coaching.
• Develop mid-term technical goals and roadmaps for multiple teams.
• Guide system design and write code to solve complex problems.
• Review peer code to enforce best practices and quality.
