Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager in Seattle to lead a global engineering team focused on maps and autonomous driving infrastructure. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with OEM partners to deliver scalable systems for ADAS and related platforms.

Responsibilities include driving developer velocity, validating core pillars like drive simulation, and integrating AI/ML into tooling and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 7 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems, compute/storage, or hardware architecture.
• 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• Experience with ML, Generative AI, Reinforcement Learning, or LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and scale a global engineering organization of ~15 software engineers, providing technical leadership.
• Refine and elevate engineering infrastructure for OEMs and auto industry ensuring safety, freshness, and accuracy for ADAS/Autonomous Driving.
• Drive technical strategy to enhance developer velocity across Geo Auto, overseeing validation pillars like Drive Simulation.
• Advocate integration of Generative AI and Large Language Models into developer workflows for testing and automation.
• Partner with Geo Auto product leaders and OEM partners to co-develop solutions and align multi-ecosystem initiatives.
